Kooks add frequent urination to list of 90,000,000 benzo withdrawal symptoms

Frequent urination

Hi

On this past Sunday I dropped my klonopin from .25 mg to .125 mg and four days later ( Tuesday) I started having to go to the bathroom like four or five times an hour. If I drink water I have to pee minutes later and it’s usually only a little bit. Is this from the withdrawal? I am worried because I also have a herniated disc which can cause bladder problems but I went and had an MRI and they said it wasn’t the disc. So now I’m wondering if it’s a withdrawal symptom.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

Yes. It’s fairly common in withdrawal as the adrenal system is impacted. The hormone aldosterone is secreted by the adrenals and helps retain sodium and prevent excessive urination. I went through this and had to take desmopressin to control it. It will improve as adrenal function normalizes.  :)–V

  1. Nope, never had this in WD, only when I was drinking a lot of beer! You might consider seeing a doctor.

  2. Withdrawal itself isn’t a diuretic.

    This is pseudoscience.

Any thread on BB’s that’s ever been started with “has anybody else had..” has always been answered by at least several members saying “yes it’s common” or something similar.

The only time that changes is when a brave soul starts a thread on having an easy time with withdrawal.

Then wait and see the reaction. Not responses, not replies, REACTION.. then vilification & trolling campaign.

    Every time.

  3. STFU Jake. What do you know? You are probably still on benzos, sick, want to get off, and can’t. Enjoy your pathetic life. Mike59 is so stupid for continuing this hate site. Benzobuddies is never going anywhere, LOL! It is a great site that has helped to save many lives, even if it helped end many too.

  4. Hi Mary,

Go to benzobuddies and lookup the posts of Benzoid.

That was me, and it should satisfy your curiosity over what I know.

Sorry to disappoint you but I haven’t taken a benzo or been dependent on any other substance for 3yrs. It’s interesting you’d suggest that me still being on benzos would be some sort of personal insult which you should deride me for.

That’s not what benzobuddies OR CoM is about. Taking medication is a personal choice, not something to be ashamed of.

Hope you manage to deal with your emotional problems in due course.

    J ✌️

  5. If The BB cult really takes pride in “saving many lives, even if it helped end many lives” that would be horrible.
Mary, you can’t really be serious. No one over there really thinks this way, right? No way. Too crazy.
