BENZO BULLYING

Benzo bullying

Has anyone else experienced benzo bullying where someone knows you are going through w/d and exploits the fact?

In view it should be regarded as a hate crime. Or worse.

That is so mean & sorry you’ve experienced this. Personally have not had this yet. Was it people you know which would make this more hurtful. Could it be possible they didn’t mean to be hurtful as they don’t understand what we’re going thru?

They did know me and sadly they knew exactly what they were doing because the person orchestrating it has been through benzo w/d themselves.

I know it is unbelievable but it’s true. Moreover I believe they were trying to provoke me into a reaction while I was ill in order to use it against me. I have even had my computer hacked and fb account hacked and been stalked and trolled on fb by the same people. It is a true horror story.

I have heard of these for us, I am remembering now as I type this out. How do we get more going, what is the protocol?

Any thoughts…? Thanks ahead of time.

(I’d like to start one in my area, maybe for victims of pharmaceutical violence in general. I’m only in the thinking and planning stages though.)

Well I just saw that we aren’t supposed to even mention or talk about this in general. I can’t delete my own post though, I have found.

I don’t see the harm in discussing this and being non-specific about location, kind of a depressing rule if you ask me.

hey, i think sometimes its easier to relate to people when you actually chit chat on the phone. if anyone needs to talk, feel free to give me a call, i think it would therapeutic, i went to an anxiety meeting and found it to help me so much when i could talk to someone about my issues. its hard to find someone who understands. i know my wife doesn’t understand nor my family. so i welcome anyone, 305-305-2923. I’m not a weirdo, lol, google me if you’d like, jase haber.

It’s against BB rules to give out personal information such as your name and phone number and to solicit phone calls. I did Google you and what I found was ***NOT*** very complementary at all.

I would strongly caution all members! For your own safety, do not attempt to contact this person!

[…], this is indeed against the rules. It’s not allowed on this forum:

You are not permitted to post your contact details to the BenzoBuddies forum. Nor should you solicit the contact details of other members. Links to, or requests to join, Facebook or any other social networking websites which might potentially identify members’ true identities are not allowed

Please do not do this again. If you do, you risk not being able to post freely as a result.

First and foremost I had no idea this was against the rules, I don’t see anything so wrong with putting out my phone number as long as it’s in the attempt to communicate with people and help each other out. I happened to have had a great conversation with somebody that could relate to me. I apologize for offending so many of you. When this is a form this design to help each other. Sometimes it’s very difficult for me and I’m sure for others to wait for somebody to respond to a reply when they’re at that particular moment going to pure panic. Didn’t see it at such a big deal, I have no issues of anyone knowing who I am since I can be publicly looked at the Google, and I’m actually considered a public figure. I’m not by any means ashamed of what I’m going through and have no issues helping other people that are in the same situation as I am. But again I apologize if I’ve violated the rules and any which way. But once again, I’m giving out my phone number not anyone else’s. My personal information no one else’s, it’s up to that person whether they need somebody to talk to them or not. I was really under the impression this was a form to help each other out, and I’m actually glad I put my phone number because I got to meet someone that was very cool and we happen to have a lot in common and are going to similar situations, as well as I’ve met somebody prior to that who has help me through this whole process. But I will make sure not to post it again since it’s obviously against the rules.

Hello again,

Thanks for getting back to us and agreeing to follow the rules, but I want to make a few things perfectly clear, especially since we know you’ve published a book about your career as a professional con man:

You agreed to abide by the rules when you joined, as we all did. We have these rules to protect all of our members, and it doesn’t matter who you are or what you think about our rules – you still have to abide by them. This is a private club, not a democracy, and we reserve the right to terminate anyone’s membership if they are deemed in any way dangerous to others on the forum. We take these responsibilities very seriously. This is what appears over every pm sent or received:

Unfortunately, like the wider Internet, BenzoBuddies is not immune from those who would seek to misrepresent themselves as counsellors, doctors, confidants, etc. We have suffered our fair share of those whose only motivation in life is the desire to hurt others. It would be fair to describe one or two of these people as unhinged and a menace. Please do not share your contact information and personal details through the PM (Personal Message) system or the open forum.

Yes, I Googled you alright, make no mistake about that. Your definition of “success” and “business” is the antithesis of mine. Sad that you’re so proud of your past accomplishments. You go your own way and I’ll go mine.

The book I published is nothing more than a book, I highly doubt you read it to even know anything about me. Don’t go by a title with out even knowing the full story. Judging me without even reading the book. I’m sure you also saw the influencing people I know in Hollywood. Don’t go by a cover, read before judging. My book was based on helping people, I dealt with millions of dollars, believe me my intentions are harmless in this forum. Just wanted to help someone in need. Pretty sure no one here is perfect

That book was based on my mistakes. Mistakes I made when I was in my twenties, I’m now in my thirties and have managed to succeed the right way! Do your research, don’t just look at a book I published. Just saying, people shouldn’t be judging in this forum

We don’t delete threads that have received replies. It would be best for everyone to just move on now. There are lots of other members who need support and many other threads to post on.

I’ve already told you that I did my research. You want me to publish more links here? Of your recent “successes”?

“Mistake”. That’s one of my favorite words   . A mistake is when one takes a left turn whilst meaning to take a right turn, oops. A mistake is NOT something that you DELIBERATELY CHOOSE, time and time and time again. Pre-meditated “mistakes”?

Whatever.

Hi all,

[…] is a new member, and whatever failings occurred in his past, he was not hiding them from members since he has posted his real name. He now seems to now understand that because of the potential problem of people seeking to misrepresent themselves at support forums such as BB (to abuse/fleece/trick members), we do not allow personal contact information to be posted here. […] is here for support with his withdrawal from benzodiazepines – members should not judge each other. Unless he does something to prove otherwise, […] should be given the benefit of any doubt, just as we do with all members. After all, we generally do not know the true identity of other members, and all are unvetted.

Thank you.

It helps me too, that’s why f.b groups are good.yea there’s some evil people out there but if your genuine it does help other people.i speak to people in benzo groups also on the phone some times as it’s a lonely process.but I also understand other people’s concerns too…

Thank you guys for all those nice private messages you’re sending me, I really appreciate the support, unfortunately I don’t know what they did to my account but it does not allow me to respond to any private message. I guess another strategic way of holding me back from finding the help I need. But I want everybody to know I appreciate the messages I just can’t respond to them

Kooky Monday: Benzo withdrawal causes acne

Acne breakouts during rapid taper
« on: April 03, 2017, 12:42:59 pm »

[Buddie]

Hi buddies,
I’m 2 months in on a forced rapid taper of valium & have 2 more months to go before I hit 0. I have suffered from acne since I was about 13 years old~it started out as cystic acne & has unfortunately left a lot of scarring. It continued throughout my 20’s then started clearing up when I was about 32. Before I started my taper I was having some hormonal issues & my acne resurfaced~but this time as mainly very oily skin, blackheads, & a smattering of pimples around that time of the month. However, about 5 weeks into my taper my skin started to get extremely oily & I started getting lots of pimples. Yesterday a cyst surfaced on my chin ? I haven’t had cystic acne since I was a teenager! It’s so embarrassing. Does anyone know if benzo withdrawal & acne are related? My guess is that since the withdrawal symptoms pretty much encompass every part of our bodies, I wouldn’t be surprised if it messes with our hormones as well. Has anyone else experienced this symptom? & when will it go away? I have enough to worry about what with all the symptoms I’m already having that cystic acne is the LAST thing I need! Thank you to everyone in advance & I hope everyone has a good start to the week ?

[Buddie]

Members old and new remember that the mind is a powerful thing, and you can create worry and obsession – from viewing the forum every once in a while to every hour of the day. From Googling symptoms and self diagnosis… For example I used zopiclone for 8 years with zero issues until I googled long term use and came to a result about cancer, now it’s a daily obsession, every pain in my body, ie back pain, is a tumor or something.

Avoid self diagnosis and being given information (informed or misinformed) and only take advice from a doctor. I have a lot of medical knowledge, an AWFUL lot, and I still manage to convince myself I’m ill every day. If you take anything from the groups or websites make sure it’s ONLY support and friendship, DO NOT allow yourself to believe you may also have a symptom another member is having or something you’ve Googled.

Because your body is 100% individual to you, as is your situation… Don’t do what I did, I spent 10 years in the house without going outside saying “I’m going to die” I’ve lost my youth because of Google.

Don’t lose your future too.

Quote from: [Buddie] on February 07, 2016, 04:02:18 am
I think a lot of people get freaked out by so many horror stories and that this ramps up anxiety and wd sxs.

There have to be more people reading these posts that are doing alright. I am and I had years on a high dose of Xanax.

Sure if you feel something, and others do too, then obviously you can gain a lot of support from people going through the same thing. But remember that because someone else is going through an issue, don’t allow yourself to assume you will too.

This is especially true for stuff like seizures, I see MANY people who have read online about seizures and are scared to reduce because of it! But before they read this information seizures were the LAST THING on their mind.

Now they won’t taper because of it.

Recently (yesterday), I reinstated a double dose of zopiclone of 15mg because I was told by a NUMBER of members that I was in massive withdrawal from dropping from 15mg to 7.5mg within 3 days, and that I was I quote “going crazy” the damage has been done and I’ve now reinstated at 15mg and have to start ALL OVER AGAIN to reduced.

And I was doing SO WELL.

BUT I’m not going to take 15mg again, screw those members. AND this is my point, they don’t know me, my body, or drugs, or the affects it will have on anybody’s body.

Now ironically, I too have done this, but in the opposite way, trying to rationalise some of the symptoms people feel.

In the same way doctors try and convince me I DON’T have cancer or anything else, and I can’t be convinced. So I guess a lot of members are so tied into their beliefs like I am with my issues that when someone says “Hey it might not be that” that you completely dismiss it.

Which is what I do also.

Anyway, the point is, NEW MEMBERS don’t have that same mindset, but its easily created… and when I joined this forum I was a new member with no issues… Then members educated me on what I should be feeling –

If you’re a member reading this, just remember to use this place for support and friendships. Not for diagnosis, and don’t tell other members that they should be in withdrawal or interdose withdrawal or that they “CAN EXPECT THIS” (YES I’VE SEEN THAT)

“I’m tapering _____” “You can expect to feel anxiety, not sleeping” etc etc

I was so shocked when I seen this, it was a while ago, and then the member lost her shit and was clearly upset.

Most people are here because they can’t sleep at night, then we all need to sleep well knowing we support members and don’t impression vulnerable people
