Bedridden

Hey guys

Has anyone experienced being severely bedridden with extreme muscle atrophy and deconditioning? For the last 3 years I would estimate I’ve been stuck in bed Probably 98% of the time. Aside from making quick easy meals and coming close to passing out, and short trips to the bathroom, that is the only time I’m not recumbent. My mobility problems stem from severe POTS like symptoms and pain. My head also feels really unstable on my spine when I walk.

Can anybody out there relate to this?

Was looking at the active ingredient of Frontline(isoprinil). It is used to treat fleas, lice, heartworm, mites, and who knows what else. Apparently it affects GABA receptors and that stuff has a half life of half a month.. Has anyone gotten that stuff on their skin? Were you alright?

My system is super sensitized by lex taper, had severe reactions to almost everything in the universe, magnesium, all meds, supplements, msg, aspartame, I passed out for 15 minutes after a mri for my back. I was not anxious or scared I swear. It’s the strong magnets.

Even that insanely sensitive, I didn’t have reaction to xray

Frequent urination

Hi

On this past Sunday I dropped my klonopin from .25 mg to .125 mg and four days later ( Tuesday) I started having to go to the bathroom like four or five times an hour. If I drink water I have to pee minutes later and it’s usually only a little bit. Is this from the withdrawal? I am worried because I also have a herniated disc which can cause bladder problems but I went and had an MRI and they said it wasn’t the disc. So now I’m wondering if it’s a withdrawal symptom.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

Yes. It’s fairly common in withdrawal as the adrenal system is impacted. The hormone aldosterone is secreted by the adrenals and helps retain sodium and prevent excessive urination. I went through this and had to take desmopressin to control it. It will improve as adrenal function normalizes.  :)–V

Hey thank you for all the support.. I have been posting a lot lately because I feel like I’m losing my physical body.. I have been told this all withdrawal but it just doesn’t seem real.. I’m afraid to be alone, no energy, when I lie down body burns, head spins when I walk around,
Stomach cramps… to top it off I am extremely paranoid and feel like I’m drifting into psychosis.. I just keep praying and am unsure about everything.. I quit a job I just started and I’m 35 and can’t leave my mothers couch.. this hell…

[…],

I was a hair stylist for 10 years before this withdrawl…
Stay away from the hair dyes! My biggest mistake in this whole process and biggest set backs were from hair chemicals. Honestly, if you wouldn’t eat it don’t put it on your skin or smell it.
I also painted my bedroom. We bought a new house through out this withdrawl and I was so excited to paint it, redo some of the rooms ect…. Huge mistake! Biggest wave I have had…..
And believe me seeing friends and family now expecially after being a stylist I was always so put together, ughhhh…..

I’ve had my highlights done during my taper at least twice and it hasn’t seemed to affect me. I go to an Aveda salon and they use more natural products (although I’m sure nothing is perfect). They are pricey but it’s worth it to me to be using more natural products and whatever they use seems less harsh on my hair and the smell is definitely not as overwhelming as what they use in other salons.

Yes if you need to color highlights or lowlights wrapped in foil and not a tube of color sitting on your scalp for an hour or half hour is definitely better…
I have always been sensitive to chemical though… Way back a dozen yrs ago cleaners like pine sol ect… If I cleaned with them I would get headaches ect…

It seems I get the “I’ve had it!” speech when I act a little stronger.
Yesterday, I step up and start being a dad. Working with the kids to learn some table manners in this case. […] sees it and recognizes I’m feeling a little better. Last night I get the “its just so all consuming I can’t take it anymore, maybe you should move out”

So now I’m… lift face off table…write post to BB…return face to table.

Oh yea … “all you do is sit around and read about benzos”
shame on me

sorry… having a real bad day and edited my post to try to remain on topic.
