Mad in America & Benzo Buddies team up to attack doctors, spread lunacy

“My father and mother, Genevieve, had a happy marriage of 39 years, until our mom (13 years his junior) passed away in 2009 of a brain tumor, likely brought on by the vaccines she’d received over the years, and the root canals, and the mercury fillings, and the nutrient-depleted food that she (like most Americans) had ingested over the years…

This is something that everyone with access to medical care should read. A very sad story and a reminder that we are all still vulnerable to another medical mess if we cannot speak for ourselves in the emergency room setting. I think we all need to get medical alert bracelets and always wear them as i dont see any other way to make sure that this never happens again…

Good article LorazepamFree. I ran into one psychiatrist who incorrectly diagnosed me based on an intake form, even before talking to me, and immediately recommended a high amount of anti-depressants. He said I had to get sicker to get better and called himself “Nurse Ratchet” (like the one in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest movie) and would strictly monitor whether I was taking the drugs. He didn’t care about the fact that I was in tolerance withdrawal from benzos. I was stunned and resisted, so he got mad and stamped his feet and told me to listen to my husband (he was stunned, too). Unbelievable-never saw him again Fortunately, my other counselors have been compassionate and helpful. One of them said that “Nurse Ratchet” shouldn’t be practicing. I hope sites like madinamerica can help bring awareness to patients and providers alike.

This is the first video that someone posted in another thread:

This is the second one. I am in it:

Here is a video on how you can participate:

A video made by a woman who lost her husband to bz WD:

This a video from Baylissa Frederick. Her website is recovery road and she wrote the book Recovery and Renewal:

They have decided to probably do a third video. You can go to the world benzodiazepine awareness Facebook page or website for more info if you want to make one. I also am happy to give info. They are also reintroducing the benzo bill in January in MA. I was too sick to attend the hearing last time, but I wrote a letter. Letters of support and stories are welcome from all states. I know change is happening and I hope others can get involved in whatever way you are capable.

Doctor-bashers organize attack on woman who asks them to stop doctor-bashing

“There’s no such thing as a ‘low dose’ especially when you’ve been on it SO LONG! I see you say for patients to educate themselves but unfortunately you are not educated on the long-term effects of what has happened to your body by being on them for 30 years. If your doctor cuts you off, you will find out really quick how sick your body really is. Come join the 20,000 of us that have had so much damage from these drugs!” – angelaandgijoe1

Angela obtained her medical degree from L. Ron Hubbard University. 😉

“Benzobuddies don’t have 20,000.00 at point, but they have had about 20,000.00 since they started a little over 10 years ago. Right now I think they have about 1500. That includes actually members and those that ‘peep’ in through the curtains.” – Shelly Ann

Benzo Buddies has a few hundred – tops – members that participate (most make between 1-5 posts and leave). They do not have 20,000, or even 1500, active members. Colin, and anyone that believes his hysterically padded membership rolls, is delusional.

Scientology Could Get Its Own Senator
Meet Rep. David Jolly, the man who represents Scientology’s ‘Mecca’—and is now running to replace Marco Rubio in the U.S. Senate.

Jolly, the frontrunner for the GOP Senate nomination in Florida, was the “special guest” at a fundraiser for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi in June 2014, which was organized by Scientologists.

He was also featured as the “guest of honor” at the Church of Scientology’s concert celebrating the centennial of Clearwater, Florida. The latter event was held at the Fort Harrison Hotel, which is owned by the church and used for “religious retreats,” and featured appearances by prominent Scientologists like actress Anne Archer.

Jolly’s wife was scheduled to be a model for a Church of Scientology charity fashion show benefiting chronically hungry children in September, but “sent her regrets and was not able to attend,” Church of Scientology spokesperson Pat Harney told The Daily Beast.

A sample letter:

Dear ____

I am writing to ask you to co-sponsor and vote yes for HR 4640, the Veteran Suicide Prevention Act, which calls for the VA to review data on Veteran suicides over the last five years to determine if prescribed medications may have played a role in their deaths. Did you know:
– 22 veterans commit suicide a day
– In 2010 the VA issued guidelines cautioning providers against the use of benzodiazepines (“benzos”) to manage PTSD due to a lack of efficacy data and growing evidence for the potential risk of harm
– Despite that, PTSD Quarterly reports that 30% of Veterans with PTSD continue to be prescribed benzos at the VA
– Veterans are also frequently prescribed opioids for chronic pain for their injuries in addition to Benzos for anxiety. Last week the CDC cautioned doctors against prescribing opioids for long-term chronic pain, and noted in particular the danger of combining opioids and benzodiazepines together.
– Suicidal and homicidal ideations can be a side effect to people who have been on Benzos for a long time or people trying to taper off of them
Please give your full support to HR 4640. Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
(sign your name)
