Benzo Buddies member agonizes over whether or not a cup of French onion soup will drive her insane

Am I screwed
« on: March 02, 2018, 02:32:25 am »

I went out to dinner with my fiance tonight and had a cup of French onion soup. Well I got home and started feeling almost normal like. I actually feel good. Vision is clear and my head is not pounding I feel almost myself well I was reading some recipes online and in homemade onion soup they use alcohol in it? Im really wondering if I screwed myself over and there was alcohol still in the soup now I don’t know what to think and I’m hoping I didn’t blow my whole recovery I seriously can’t take much more of this bullshit. What do you guys think?

Why not call the restaurant and ask the chef if they used alcohol in the recipe? They probably don’t, unless they say so on the menu, but it won’t hurt to ask.

7 months today with a great window all day! What a nice suprise for me. Felt good mentally however physically still not there yet or afraid to push it. In the last month have started with diet changes. Dropped dairy products, most all red meat, all nightshade fruits and veggies. It seems to be helping alot. I have been making a special crock pot chicken, cabbage, carrots, onions, green bean and peas dish for myself daily to clear skin problems and it’s working quite well. Ad salt pepper garlic and a couple of chicken bullion cubes and it’s pretty tasty as well. I’m looking forward to more of these good days, what a long strange trip it’s been!! I choose not to fill any of physic drugs thE doc wanted to try on me in the last 7 months and now I’m glad I don’t have them to taper.

15 years Xanax multiple fast tapers

Does orgasm make your symptoms worse?

Does orgasms make your symptoms worse? I feel like my anxiety, fatigue, depersonalization, everything gets worse after orgasm and doesn’t get better until about a week of abstinence…

Yes, I think this happens to me. If I feel good before, and […] for a few hours after having one, but a few hours later I feel horrid. I guess it takes a lot of our energy, or maybe the pleasure center in our brain is tapped too much. Fortunately, this symptom resolves itself for me after a while. Thanks for letting me know I’m not the only one.

It may be linked to hormones. I’ve read a number of posts that indicate pregnancy and menstrual cycles are particularly difficult due to hormonal issues.

Of course, as a guy. this doesn’t apply to me, but very recently I discontinued Melatonin, a hormone which I used as a sleep aid for 18 months, and from what I understand the US (where I am) is the only country that allows it to be sold OTC. Perhaps going off of it contributed to my post-O slump and other problems

Orgasms don’t seem to bother me but I definitely notice feeling way worse during my period, so I can believe that hormones are involved.

Actually, us guys have hormones as well — they are just different ones. Testosterone is a hormone. And there is in fact a big hormonal change in the brain after orgasm in males. My impression is that the orgasm also has an affect on the central nervous system, and since said nervous system is irritated… It would make sense that there would be symptoms. In my first bad experience with quitting benzos years ago, I would always feel like crap after an orgasm. Never knew why! Now I do…

Kooks say stem cell therapy magic bullet for benzo withdrawal

Think I found something that could help, if not cure BZD withdrawal.

The further I get out, the deeper I’ve been looking into alternative healing methods. The two that have really stuck with me are growth hormones and stem cells, but moreso stem cells. They seem to have almost magic like regeneration properties and are used for all kinds of autoimmune diseases and even M.S. (which is similar in symptoms to benzo wd)

The problem is that the most effective kind aren’t available in the US and are super expensive. You have to go to Panama to have it done and it can be upwards of 20k based on my research. I’m gonna keep digging and will see what more I can find, just wanted to share because I truly believe this could have some benefits.

If anyone has already tried, let us know.

Here is one of the few things that sparked my interest on the subject:
