I think it is important to say that for some people it is not the right thing to get off of them

I should never have tried to stop diazepam which I was on the same low dose of for 20 years for muscle spasm from spinal injury and surgery.

WD is literally crushing my spine and I am now paradoxical to all meds.

I had no interdose WD or to,ere veg on the diazepam.

I know ppl in dystonia groups who only get relief from Clonazepam some of whom have been on it for 40 years without problems.

Will I Ever Want to Go Home Again?

[Buddie]

I know I’ve spoken with a few people on this forum about this. This has been going on with me for about a year now. I don’t like going home at all. I get no joy from being in my own house. I feel mad at my family. I have no hobbies I want to pursue when I’m here. I can’t nap lately. It’s like the moment I’m gone for a while and then have to come back, I dread it. And when I’m here, I just feel mad and miserable. It doesn’t really matter if I’m home alone or not. I don’t know how many others deal with this. Being at home used to be the place I was most comfortable.

Klonopin for 10 days, Benzo Buddies for life

Re: HELP!! Do I need to taper?

RKO

Not trying to scare you but I was only on Klonopin for 10 days and my doctor wouldn’t allow me to do an Ashton taper because I was only on for such a short time.

I was hooked by day 7, unknowingly, when I took half a dose one night and woke up with heart palps. Damn pills nearly killed me when I quit after a rapid taper that was basically a CT.

It’s been over 15 months and I’m nowhere near healed.

I’ve come to realize, however, that I am in the extreme minority. You’ll probably be fine though.

Paxil: 2000-2007
2/08: Adverse reaction to 9 days of Saw Palmetto extract for hair loss (PFS)
Klonopin: .25mg PRN 2/08-7/08
Prozac: 11/08-3/09

Drug free for 9+ years, life was great

4/19: Severe ear infection, temporarily deaf, tinnitus – rx Augmentin

4/26-5/1: Steroid taper pack

4/26-5/5: Rx Klonopin .5mg nightly by ENT for insomnia/tinnitus (heart palps on Day 7 with .25mg, dependent in a week?!)
5/6: Cut to .25 mg (cut 1mg tabs into quarters) – BAD symptoms. Run to GP for help
5/10: Cut to .125mg (per GP advice) – even worse symptoms, bad advice from doc
5/13: Jumped. WAY TOO SOON. HELL. Should’ve reinstated, basically CT. Didn’t have sufficient supply, GP wouldn’t prescribe more. Wrongly assumed short use would be short WD

Benzo Buddies brainwashes its members into believing eating braised beef can drive them insane

Braised beef & tomato

We cooked a braised beef dish for dinner recently that contained tomato paste and roasted salsa. Couldn’t sleep that […] and I think it threw me off. Too much glutamate? Maybe so. Anybody else have issues like this?

Hi […], certain foods wreak havoc on our fragile systems. I hope you are sleeping a bit better now. Oregano does a number on me and it is typically in spaghetti and pizza sauces. I raise it in my garden, but no longer add it to any thing I prepare. Perhaps there was something in the salsa.
Not sure about the glutamate, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Looking for my 2014/2015 buddies

I’ve been feeling really lonely lately as the symptoms drag on into year three. Losing hope for a miraculous turnaround, wondering if I should just learn to cope with the way things are, the new normal- you know the drill.

I used to post a lot on the working taperers group, the moms and dad’s cafe and the Ashton taper thread. I thought about posting there to see if anyone was still around, but decided to do this instead.

Mary Jane and Benzo Withdrawal
« on: December 26, 2017, 04:41:52 pm »

[Buddie]

Hi I am looking for some reail information on this subject of marijuana and benzo withdrawal. Medical marijuana and marijuana in general is legal where I live. I really don’t care to hear crap from people who are rigid and uptight and grew up thinking that weed was bad. Marijuana is no worse than alcohol so anyone that feels otherwise please don’t comment. I hate the close-mindedness of that kind of crap.

And one other quick thing if anyone of us was prescribed marijuana instead of benzos we wouldn’t have this problem right now that we all have.

I was wondering this, too. I have cbd hemp oil and have read it’s great for anxiety. But I have also read that you can’t take it with antidepressants. Weed is a beneficial for lots of things! My husband swears by it and up until 4 months ago, I smoked like a chimney.

I’ll bet the right kind of weed obtained from a medical dispensary could really help us. I have smoked marijuana before in the past and it has been very relaxing. Personally I would rather take the edible type than ingest smoke into my lungs. I wish there was more research done on this subject because I think for open-minded people this would help a great deal.

Luckily I live in a part of the United States where medical marijuana is legal and marijuana has also just become legal.

Benzos and other psychiatric drugs are far worse than alcohol or marijuana. I think of them more like an LSD type of drug. So nobody should sit in judgment of somebody that wants to smoke a little weed if they are popping pills. I ended up on these shity pills because a doctor recommended it for me for job stress back in the 1990’s. I wish she told me to run or do yoga or to smoke weed instead. If that was the case I wouldn’t be having these problems right now.
